I'm not really a huge birthday person. Since my birthday is in the summer and I'm a career student/academic, people tend to not be around. Last year I happily spent my birthday at home with my kitties, eating a piece of cake from Wheatsville, knitting, and watching the Olympics. This year I took advantage of my Birthday-Off perk at Volusion, and am getting PTO for the day. Score.
I'm going to be taking pictures to share, but that probably won't be until tomorrow or Monday. Sounds like Charlie (boyfriend1) has some plans in store today, but I'm not sure what they'll be until they happen!
In the mean time, enjoy this picture of me on my birthday back in the very early 90s. I think this is 91 or 92, based on how long my hair is in this. Check out the sweet She-Ra crown.

Clearly I've always been awesome. Also I think I liked that doll because it had some kind of built-in lighting system.
Happy birthday to all over August 3rd celebrators out there. Apparently Martha Stewart is one of us. Maybe I'll bake some cupcakes to bring out my inner domesticity.
1. A necessary distinction, as I have Charlie the Kitty, Charlie the Godson, and Charlie the Boyfriend.
