One of my goals this year was to learn to cross stitch. I took my first step yesterday when I bought one of those cross stitch iPhone cases from Joann Fabrics and stuck a needle through it.
And here's what I ended up with:
I modeled the herringbone pattern from this cross stitched iPhone case project, and I combined the colors in an overlapping fashion to kind-of emulate the zig zags that have made Missoni's fabrics so popular. And now I have this cool, one-of-a-kind iPhone case and can say I kind of cross stitched! My next thread-and-needle endeavor will be "proper" cross stitching. I just need to find a pattern I like…
