in the kitchen :: biscuits and gravy

Just a quick photo post here ... I got the crazy idea this morning (not too crazy I suppose) to make biscuits and gravy for breakfast. I already had some biscuits, and luckily that same cookbook has a recipe for awesome gravy.

It was SO GOOD. And I half-assed this one too. I didn't have sage, I only had unsweetened vanilla almond milk, not regular unsweetened non-dairy milk ... so I just used what I had, and threw in some Mrs. Dash in place of the sage. I love my gravy extra peppery so I went with it. And it was delicious. Vegan Diner is quickly becoming my favorite cookbook.
