crochet love :: a colorful home

Not that I need to start any more crochet afghan projects, but colorful crocheted afghans may be my favorite thing ever.

Lion Brand has really stepped up their game lovely. I absolutely adore their Wind Chimes Afghan.

I love the idea of a big crocheted work being the focal point of a room.

This pattern from Caron International has been in my queue for what feels like forever. I would definitely make mine in a similar marigold yellow color.

I think I'd go insane with all the ends and weaving involved, but I adore this flowery afghan.

Sometimes all you need is a simple stitch pattern and the right combination of colors to make an impression.

And who can resist an afghan that draws its inspiration from a found object?

Sometimes I wish I was a professional crocheter. Maybe someday ...

  1. A former coworker of my mom's pretty much became a professional crocheter/designer as her retirement job. She did a lot of work for Coats & Clark. She hired some sample work out to my mom from time to time of her own designs and of others.
