While I think as a season, overall, the most recent with Matt Smith as the Eleventh Doctor is definitely strongest season of the new series, I think it's too soon to pick one of those episodes as a favorite of the new series. In regards to the RTD era, the first episode I always think of as TOTALLY F'ING AWESOME is Utopia.
Amazing direction. Great, interesting story. Lovely characters. Great plot twists. It's just a beautiful and incredibly well done episode. The two episodes that follow? Put them in a sack, throw the sack into outer space. But take John Simm out before throwing said sack into outer space. While he wasn't The Best Master Ever, I quite liked him as the Master. And he's just too pretty to dispense of.
