Scrubs.
I hate to say it, but I did avoid Scrubs like the plague when it first came out. It was during the time when ER and all those hospital dramas were still a big deal and I hated them all. So a show that was kind of a satire of hospital life? With all those other shows being incredibly over-dramatic and far-removed from real hospital life? I thought this show would just be a disaster. But I did start getting into it during the second season and found it so refreshing. The characters are real. Relatable. Have real-world problems. Imperfect relationships. And senses of humor! Glad I gave it a shot. It’s one of my favorite shows. Well, at least the first four seasons. After that? Eh.
